Visiting this website
When you visit this website, the server processes technically necessary data: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the address requested, the page you came from (if your browser sends it), browser and operating system, status code and amount of data transferred.
We process this data to deliver the website, to keep it secure and stable, to fend off attacks and to fix errors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use this data to identify you or to build profiles.
Server logs are stored by Netlify according to its own rules. Netlify does not publish a specific retention period for website access logs; for logging and monitoring of its supporting systems, Netlify’s data processing agreement states 90 days online and up to one year offline. We do not set up any forwarding or additional storage of the logs ourselves.
Cookies, browser storage and navigation state
Without your consent, this website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking services. Fonts, images and films are delivered with the website itself, not loaded from third-party providers. Cookies and similar browser storage entries are set only by the usage analysis, and only if you allow it; only then is its code loaded from the provider (see “Usage analysis”).
We store your choice in the usage analysis notice (“Allow” or “Decline”) in your browser’s local storage under “uvea-einwilligung”, so that the notice does not appear on every page. The entry contains only your choice, its date and a version number, is not sent to us and is valid for 12 months; after that we ask again. It is strictly necessary to remember the choice you made (§ 165(3) Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021).
For navigation, the website stores a small state in your browser’s history (History API). If you open a project from the windows on the home page, the new history entry notes which project is open, so that “Back” returns you to the home page. If you open a project from the project overview, the overview’s history entry notes that project’s address, so that after “Back” the focus returns to that project; the note is removed once you are back. The state contains only a project name or path, no identifier, and is neither sent to us nor analysed by us. How long your browser keeps its history, and whether it saves it for session restore, depends on your browser and its settings.
If you choose a filter in the project overview, it appears in the page address (for example “?filter=marke”). Like any address you request, it is sent to the server when the page loads and may appear in the server logs.
These navigation states are strictly necessary for the function you use, moving back and forth between the home page, the overview and projects (§ 165(3) Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021); no consent is required for them.
Usage analysis
With your consent, we analyse how this website is used, for example which pages are viewed, how far people scroll and where they click, including recordings of individual visits, in order to improve it. This sets cookies and browser storage entries and processes details about your device, browser, country and usage behaviour with a random identifier. Input in form fields is not recorded. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 165(3) Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021).
The provider is Content Square SAS, 7 rue de Madrid, 75008 Paris, France, with its Hotjar service, acting as our processor. The data is stored in the EU (Ireland). Your IP address is transmitted for technical reasons when the service loads, but according to the provider it is not stored. For support and maintenance, the provider also uses companies outside the EU, for example in the USA and the United Kingdom. These transfers are based on adequacy decisions of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR, for the USA the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework) or standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).
The cookies are deleted after at most one year, the collected usage data after at most 365 days. Without your consent, the usage analysis is not loaded. You can withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. The cookies in your browser are then deleted and no further data is collected. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.
Contact by email, phone or form
When you write to us or call us, we process the details you give us, usually your name, email address, phone number if provided, and the content of your enquiry. In the form, your name, email address and project description are needed so we can reply; phone number and topics are optional. Without the necessary details we cannot handle your enquiry. Please do not send us particularly sensitive data.
We use these details to answer your enquiry and, where relevant, to prepare an offer. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); for general enquiries, or if you write on behalf of a company, our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use these details for marketing.
To protect the form against misuse: a field that is invisible to people (honeypot) and Netlify’s spam check with Akismet. We do not use a captcha.
We keep enquiries for as long as we are handling them and a follow-up question is to be expected. After that we delete them. Submissions stored by the form service: Netlify keeps submissions in our account until we delete them; we delete them there by the same criteria as other enquiries. According to Akismet, most spam-check data is kept for between two weeks and 90 days. If an enquiry leads to an engagement, we keep the business-relevant records for as long as statutory retention obligations, in particular under company and tax law, require.
